I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open right about now, so this won't be long.
With state track today and tomorrow, the school year is just about officially over. Two days of state track last weekend, with the accompanying hundreds of photos, just about wiped me out. Logan, who was helping me again this year, and I decided this year wasn't as pressure-packed as last year, and that was a good thing. We didn't feel as stressed as we have in previous years, and that made the meet much more enjoyable.
We had kids turn in good performances, ranging from a state champion to athletes setting personal best marks in their events. There's nothing better than ending the season with your personal best or a season best mark, especially when you're a senior. That's how I wish I could have gone out, but I don't think that happened. I gave it my best, and that's all I could do.
This photo is one of my favorites from the meet. I got lucky in the composition, that's for sure. For those of you keeping score at home, this is Logan Clonce from Centennial competing in the high jump. He ended up second in the event. In his four years of high school, he was first twice and second twice.
So now, I hope, my schedule will open up a bit and I'll have some time to catch up on rest. I'm looking forward to going on vacation in July - we just have to figure out exactly what we're going to do.
I'll let you know. :)
come to New York in July !!!!!!!
